The word CISOMO in Greek is "ΣΥΣΣΩΜΟ" meaning United Under a Cause. The “CI.SO.MO. project’ objective is to promote the European fundamental values of freedom, justice,security and democracy in light of the application of civil society migration solidarity as a fundamental element of European Integration. At first,this can be achieved by developing a civil society solidarity migration movement strategy . The strategy involves the following activities :(a) Need analysis for civil society solidarity movement (b)Good Practices’ Civil Society Solidarity Movement Identification(c) Action Plan and a manual for a Civil Society Solidarity Movement. Secondly, the Civil Society Solidarity Migration Movement mechanisms. This activity includes: (a) CISOMOS' s project website. Thirdly,the Civil Society Solidarity Migration Movement Capacity Building. This activity includes:(a) 2 training seminars about volunteering and migration to raise awareness on solidarity and against racism. The countries ( Greece, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Italy and Sweden) involved in the project are chosen on the basis their experience in civil society solidarity movements and the flow of immigrants in each country. The expected outcomes is the creation of a civil society solidarity migration movement’s action plan applicable to the forthcoming movement and the raise of awareness on solidarity and migration issues.
